The 1200mm wide zones (C) for transfering between the car and a wheelchair should be hatched in yellow paint to deter other vehicles from parking too close.

The routes between the cars should lead to drop kerbs up onto any adjoining pavements.

Maximum distances from parking bays to building entrances are recommended as 50m uncovered or 100m covered.
